Mozambique

Le Mozambique est un pays d’Afrique du Sud-Est avec une population de 26 millions d’habitants et une espérance de vie à la naissance de 53 ans pour les hommes et de 55 ans pour les femmes. Bien que le pays ait réalisé d’importants progrès depuis la fin de la guerre civile en 1992, il reste des défis majeurs à relever : seule la moitié de la population avait accès en 2014 au réseau des établissements de santé, et les taux de mortalité maternelle et de décès dus au VIH, à la tuberculose et aux maladies non transmissibles restent élevés. Le Mozambique est devenu signataire du pacte IHP+ (aujourd’hui CSU2030) en 2007. Le Plan Stratégique du Secteur de la Santé (PESS en portugais), et le PESS 2014-19 met l’accent sur un « programme de réforme et de décentralisation » qui cible en particulier l’accès aux services par les femmes, les jeunes et les personnes âgées. Le P-CSU apporte son soutien au développement d'une Politique nationale de Santé afin de guider les interventions en faveur de la CSU.
