Yemen is a country in Western Asia with a population of 24 million people and a life expectancy at birth of 63 years (males) and 66 years (females). A major priority for the country is the development of a Health Financing Strategy to feed into the National Health Strategy and the next 5 Year Operation Plan. The Health Financing Strategy will be preceded by an in-depth analysis of the current health financing situation, as well as a clear understanding of the process of drafting this strategy (including participatory elements and consultation rounds and formats).
